Fireman, Matt Tidrow, and his wife have four boys. His wife was at work and he had to prepare dinner. The kids wanted home-made pizza and that’s when Matt discovered he was out of pizza sauce. So he opened a 28-ounce can of tomatoes and started adding spices and toppings from the fridge – the Kids loved it! He wrote down what he did and then in 2015 he got the idea to start packaging it. The sauce is terrific on pizza dough, English muffins with or without toppings, garlic toast, pita pieces as a dip, in spaghetti and marinara sauces, and more.
Just Add Tomatoes’ 1.67-ounce seasoning mix package is available in stores all over Metro Detroit and can be shipped anywhere. There’s also a 4-ounce shaker container and a food service size bulk mix. It’s also great on Grilled Chicken Parmesan, in spaghetti sauces, and on Garlic Toast.
