Uncle Peter’s Pasties, with locations in Clarkston, Lake Orion, and Shelby Township, continues to offer up the best pasties this side of the bridge! Uncle Peter’s Pasties was started in Clarkston in 2009 by Peter and Nancy Caruso, and is now owned by Caruso and family members Matt and Nancy Rzepnicki. There are 27 different varieties from which to choose, including the traditional beef and chicken, as well as wild game pasties like buffalo, elk, and venison. There’s also three delicious breakfast pasties and an apple dessert pastie. For those with gluten allergies, there are three gluten free pasties, including beef, lamb, and venison. The new Cheesy Crust Pastie is taking the market by storm. The pasties are handmade in an USDA kitchen and are available in over 170 stores throughout the state. They are made with hormone and antibiotic free meats, potatoes, carrots, onions, rutabaga, and only use along with chicken and turkey that are free range Amish raised. No preservatives are used.
